'Enlightenments' is a light box installation. Words and motifs are integrated within the design for a stained glass window. Historically, stained glass windows were installed as a metaphorical device bathing places of worship, such as churches, mosques and synagogues, with the light of God. But they also served as a teaching tool to instruct people in spiritual matters. In 'Enlightenments' the spirituality is questioned and attempts to reveal how power and control in the guise of religion divides, subverts and creates conflict.
